Private Freediving Courses

A private freediving course may be a good option if you:

  • Want to get certified in a short timeframe
  • Have a busy or complicated work schedule
  • Live outside of San Diego — but really want to get certified through Dive California instructors!

A private course consists of you and your instructor, OR your private group (maximum 4 family members or friends).

You’ll get the highest level of personalized guidance so you can become a comfortable, confident, and safe freediver.

We are happy to customize your instruction needs to fit your time restrictions and/or privacy concerns! We can get you certified within as little as 2 days or as many as 3 days without you ever feeling rushed.

Private Course Info

Private One-on-One: $1,495

Semi-Private (2 Students): $995 per student

Semi-Private (3-4 Students): $595 per student

Course Prerequisites

  •  Minimum age is 13. Minors must have parental consent, and a parent / legal guardian must be present at all in-water sessions (unless the minor can drive themselves to and from the location).
  •  The medical questionnaire must be completed before the confined water/pool session. If you answer ‘YES’ to any question, then you must receive a medical clearance from a physician before diving.
  • You must be able to comfortably perform a 200-yard swim.
