Referral In Program

Dive California offers the Referral-In Course for Open Water is for students from out of town who have completed their classroom and pool training sessions in your home town or on vacation through another Scuba Center/Instructor within the last 6 months, then you may complete their dives in San Diego. Our expert instructors will take you in the ocean to complete the 4 required ocean dives for Open Water certification. We accept all referrals up to 1 year old, but referral older than 6 months may require an extra pool session in order to ensure comfort during the ocean dives.

Tuition cost: $595 private one-on-one, $295 per person semi private 2-4 people (includes the use of rental scuba equipment)


Referral Out Program

Looking to complete your Open Water certification while on vacation but don't want to waste precious vacation time? We've got you covered with Dive California's Referral Out Program!

Complete your classroom and pool sessions in San Diego before your vacation and Dive California will help you find a qualified dive center to complete your 4 required ocean dives while on vacation.

Pre-Requisites

  • Diver Record & Referral Form completed by your initiating Instructor/Dive Center
  • Liability Release
  • Medical Questionaire (if a "YES" is answered to any of the medical history questions, a physicians signature is required prior to your start of any pool or ocean training dives)
  • PADI/SSI Certification Processing fee $35 (unless shown proof of payment to the referring Instructor/Dive Center)


Scuba Refresher/ReActivate

Getting back into diving after a long break or planning to go on a dive trip and feeling a little rusty and want to brush up on your knowledge and dive skills than sign up for our SSI Scuba Review/PADI ReActivate program.

Option 1 - Knowledge & pool skills review, $295 one-on-one private or $150 per person semi-private 2-4 students (includes air -fill, tank, weights) , PADI Touch Digital manual ReActivate not included. Rental gear package available for additional $50 per person.

Option 2 - Knowledge, pool skills review & One (1) open water dive, $350 one-on-one private or $175 per person semi-private 2-4 students (includes air-fills, tanks, weights) PADI Touch Digital Manual ReActivate not included. Rental gear package available for additional $50 per person.

Option 3 -  Two (2) open water/ocean dives with skills review, $250 one-on-one private or $150 per person semi-private 2-4 students (includes air-fills, tanks, weights) Rental gear package available for additional $50 per person.
